Confirmed so far...
Svartland Viking Age Living History - Svartland was formed in 2006 and are based in the Black Country area of the West Midlands, from which they take their name (“svart” meaning black,
“land” meaning country). They specialise in recreating the lifestyles of the Viking and Anglo-Saxon peoples of the 8th to 10th Centuries.
Svartland will be coming to this year’s 3 Estates Festival to display an impressive living history encampment, which contains a number of authentic tents, period equipment and weaponry.
They will be demonstrating a variety of crafts, skills and pastimes including woodworking, leather working, textile crafts, coin striking, herb lore, period games and much more besides.
As the historical times they portray were not always peaceful, they will also demonstrate the combat of the period in a variety of displays and scenarios in our main arena.
