Meet the Board

The Community Development Trust Board is the body of residents and partners that makes decisions about how the New Deal for Communities money is spent.

There are currently 6 resident directors:

Des Ashby
I've lived on the 3 Estates for five years. I know there's a lot of scope for development and I'm hoping that I can contribute. I run my own business and have a lot of expertise in business administration which I think will be useful.

Ron Bishop
As a resident director, I can give input to the decisions being made that will make our estates a place where we all want to live, and an example of how residents’ involvement can achieve wonderful results.

I’ve been a board member 2-3 years. I’m always interested to hear what’s going on, and I like to meet people. I’ve been pleased to see some of the changes that have happened – so far, so good!

Jim Ross
I am very happy to be able to contribute my past skills and experience for the benefit of community, I became interested, firstly as a member of the Housing Liaison Board, and later as a founding member of The PPH, when I was approached by the New Deal team as a prospective board member. It is extremely interesting and more and more of our results are showing their worth around the estates already. If you have any pet hates, or better if you feel that you may have ideas which need airing get in touch with us,

Sandra Winters (Resident Vice Chairperson)
I enjoy being a board member because I can help make decisions that will change the area and make it a better place to live in the future.
